TradeLynx is a free, ad-supported technical stock screener for NSE/BSE-listed equities. This page explains, plainly, what account data the app stores, why, and what it doesn't do with it. It is not boilerplate copied from a template — it describes the actual tables and code in this app.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Account identity, login |
| Password (bcrypt hash only) | Login — the plaintext password is never stored, and can't be recovered from the hash |
| Session cookie (random token) | Keeps you logged in; revoked the instant you log out or an admin removes your account |
| Action names in a usage log (e.g. "ran screener") | Understanding which features are actually used, so effort goes where it helps |
| Google account email, if you sign in with Google | Same purpose as a password account — identity only, nothing else from your Google profile is requested or stored |
We do not collect payment details (the app is free), government IDs, phone numbers, or trading account credentials. Price and volume data used for screening comes from NSE/BSE market data providers, not from you.
Account data lives in a database we operate. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage — we can't see or recover your actual password, including if you ask us to. Session tokens are opaque random values, not tokens that encode your identity, and are checked against the database on every request so access can be revoked immediately.
TradeLynx shows technical price and volume patterns on NSE/BSE-listed equities only — not fundamentals, not investment advice, and not a crypto or forex trading signal. TradeLynx is not a SEBI-registered Research Analyst or Investment Adviser. Investments in the securities market are subject to market risks; past performance is not indicative of future results. Always do your own research before trading.
